BECOME A FOUNDING PATRON

250 Days for 250 Years

A year long celebration of America's Semiquicentennial

A Letter From Our Co-Founder, Kelsey Grammer

Kelsey Grammer

On July 4, 2026, America will mark 250 years since its founding — a moment that should be more than commemoration. It should be reflection, gratitude, and recommitment to the ideals that built this nation. 250 Days for 250 Years is our effort to turn that milestone into a living journey — one that helps Americans rediscover the stories, values, and heroes that unite us.

Across 250 days, the initiative will weave together video content, daily essays, digital storytelling, school and community engagement, and a landmark book celebrating the voices and virtues that define the American spirit. The project is being developed with input from the White House’s Semiquincentennial Task Force, civic and faith leaders, educators, and cultural partners who share one belief: that America’s story, told well, can heal and inspire again.

Abraham House — an international platform for dialogue and human flourishing — has incubated the initiative, with a dedicated U.S. 501(c)(3) foundation ensuring transparency and good governance.

250 Days for 250 Years was co-founded by Daniel Shakhani and Rabbi Andrew Shaw, who jointly lead the project’s vision, partnerships, and national activation strategy.

We are now seeking a small circle of Founding Patrons whose vision and support can bring this to life. Your participation will help to fund the development, production, and nationwide activation of 250 Days for 250 Years. Founding contributions of $250,000 to $1 million will underwrite major pillars of the campaign and be recognized in perpetuity across its public platforms and publications.

Your involvement would not be transactional. It would be transformational — an investment in America’s next chapter and in a movement designed to unite.

We would be honored to share more about how this vision is taking shape and how your support could make it real.

With gratitude and hope,

KELSEY GRAMMER

The 250 Days for 250 Years Mobile App

The 250 Mobile App

Our mobile app will be the central hub for everyone to join our initiatives — free to download for all Americans. It’s where celebration, learning, and civic action come together.

We’re taking you on a 250-day journey through American history; one day for each year since 1776. Each day the app unlocks educational content and activities rooted in that year’s events, people, and significance, giving users a simple, meaningful way to explore our shared past and reflect on how it shapes our present.

Each day begins with a short, filmed vignette featuring Kelsey Grammer, who guides viewers back to the year in focus and highlights its defining stories, lessons, values, and civic responsibilities. These videos provide context, human perspective, and a clear starting point for deeper learning.

Two daily essays accompany the video: one that dives into a notable historical event from that year, and a second that explores a principle theme central to the American spirit — life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, and other enduring ideals — showing how those ideas have evolved and why they matter today.

Users can test their civics knowledge with daily quizzes and represent their state in friendly nationwide competitions, earning badges and recognition as they learn.

Beyond history and trivia, the app encourages personal and community growth: guided prompts for family conversations, curated opportunities to volunteer, and challenges designed to help users turn learning into action.

Our app allows you to live the American story, one day at a time.
